STA (Short-Term Accommodation) or Respite Applications

Here at care community coordination, we can help you apply for Short-Term Accommodation, including respite, funded by the NDIS. Its a type of funding that is used to support and accommodate a short time away from your usual home.

This NDIS funded cover can normally can take care of you up to 14 days at a time, however, only up to 28 days total per year. This means you can use the funding flexibly for a weekend a month or up to the 14 days at one time. It's often funded when you do not have your usual carers available, or it can allow you to try out new things.

By receiving this fund, it can:

  • Allow you to be in a place to make new friends or develop new skills.

  • Help to maintain your current living situation by giving your supports chance to have a break.

  • Give you the chance to try new things.

What Short-Term Accommodation or Respite covers:

  • Personal care.

  • Accommodation.

  • Food.

  • Activities you and the provider agree to.
